Parking without tickets.
Hi, I'm Vyn! I'll drive you through a car park that runs on pasvyn. It takes about two minutes. Ready?
Your number plate is your pass. Drive in, park, pay the way you like and drive out. No ticket, no queue at the machine, no app required.
Stop 1 · Arrive
Drive in. The barrier already knows you.
Watch the camera: it reads my plate as I roll up, and the barrier opens. No ticket to pull, no button to press.
- Plates are read in about a second and matched even when characters look alike, such as O and 0 or B and 8.
- Nobody gets stuck at the entry: if a plate is hard to read, the barrier still opens and the visit is flagged for a quick check.
- Works with Axis plate cameras and Moxa or Shelly relay boxes, and with any barrier brand through its standard “open” contact. Everything talks to pasvyn over one standard protocol (MQTT).
- If the internet drops, the PC on site keeps the barriers working on its own rules and passes every visit on once the connection is back.
Stop 2 · Park
Park. Nothing to keep behind the windscreen.
No ticket to lose and nothing on the dashboard. My visit started the moment the camera saw me.
- The visit runs on the plate, so a lost ticket simply cannot happen.
- Tariffs the way car parks really work: free minutes, first hour, hourly or per started block, a daily maximum and night rates.
- Operators see live occupancy against the capacity of every site.
Stop 3 · Pay
Pay your way.
Paying is up to you: scan a QR code with your phone, tap the kiosk, or let the app pay for you when you leave.
Every payment comes with a PDF receipt showing VAT. After paying there's a grace period to drive out. Card payments run through Stripe, so card data never touches pasvyn servers. The pay page finds plates from every EU country and from Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Iceland and the UK.
Stop 4 · Leave
Drive out. Paid means open.
I've paid, so the exit camera recognises me and the barrier lifts. If I'd forgotten, the display would show the amount and a QR code right there.
- App users are charged automatically as they drive out.
- Unpaid at the exit? Pay on the spot with the QR code, or let the site invoice later. Each site chooses its own policy.
- No queue at the barrier, no lost-ticket fee, no searching for coins.
Stop 5 · Climate
Less engine running at the barrier.
No ticket to pull and nothing to pay at the barrier, so cars roll through faster and idle less. The board shows what that adds up to.
Your car park, your number: the simulation’s car park report adds up the idling at every barrier of your site, next to a paper-ticket lane serving the same cars.
How we work it out: our lane model with random arrivals of 60–300 cars an hour per lane. Plate reading takes 3.9 s at the entry and 5.4 s at the exit (published timings, which we will confirm on our own sites); paper tickets take 8 s and 9 s (IStructE guidance, which favours paper tickets). A running engine emits about 17 g CO₂ a minute (TRL); studies range from 10 to 40 g, so we use the low end. Electric cars emit nothing at the barrier, so the saving is smaller where many drive electric.
pasvyn also needs no paper: no tickets are printed, and receipts come as PDF. Our servers run at Hetzner, which says it powers its data centres with hydropower (Germany) and hydro and wind power (Finland).
We do not call pasvyn “climate neutral”: running a car park still causes emissions. We show what changes and how we work it out.
Stop 6 · Operate
Run every site from one screen.
Behind the scenes, the operator sees everything live: who's parked, which device needs attention, and every payment.
- Live overview of occupancy, revenue and open issues.
- Every visit with its plate pictures, and the reason when one needs a human look.
- Open a barrier remotely, with a reason and a confirmation step.
- Device health from regular heartbeats, so a silent camera is noticed at once.
- Every action is recorded under the staff member who did it. A new site, with lanes, devices and tariff, is set up in one step.
Stop 7 · Simulate
Test your car park before you build it.
My favourite part: a digital twin. We rebuild your car park in 3D and drive thousands of cars through the real pasvyn system before a single camera is installed.
- Try it now on your own car park at sim.pasvyn.com: start from an address, a photo or PDF plan, or a DXF drawing, and watch a day of traffic go through the real pasvyn system.
- Every run ends with a car park report you can download as a PDF: the queue at each barrier against the room before it (EAR 05), the 15-minute test (IStructE) and the idling CO₂, each next to a paper-ticket lane.
- Calibrate the traffic from your own entry and exit logs.
- Compare options, such as a second kiosk or an extra exit lane, in a report with charts and confidence ranges.
- The simulated cameras and barriers send exactly the same messages as real ones, so what you test is what you get.
Stop 8 · Trust
Built to be trusted.
No AI decides your money or the barrier. Clear, tested rules do, and every decision is written down.
- Fees and barrier decisions follow fixed, fully tested rules.
- A complete audit trail of every state change and staff action.
- Hosted in the EU, with a separate instance for every customer.
- Card data stays with Stripe; pasvyn stores only what parking needs.
Stop 9 · Demo
See pasvyn run.
That's the tour! Want to see the real system in action? Watch a recording of 100 cars going through pasvyn right here, or book a live demo and we'll run your own car park in the twin.
In a live demo we drive cars through the real pasvyn system in a 3D twin of a car park, so you see every camera read, payment and barrier decision as it happens.
The recorded demo is a 3D car park playing back a real run of the pasvyn system. The first visit downloads about 16 MB, so on a phone Wi-Fi is best.
Or try pasvyn on your own car park at sim.pasvyn.com: build it from an address or a plan and get your car park report, including the idling CO₂.
